Nose to the ground focuses primarily on canine behaviour.

I am a behavioural practitioner based in Knaresborough and the local area. I have a level 4 diploma in advanced canine behaviour and I am currently working through my level 5 canine behaviour diploma. I have over 9 years experience working with dogs including 1.5 years working in a rescue environment caring for behaviourally challenged dogs.

I like to work primarily 1:1 with yourselves and your dog. 

To begin with I will come and meet you and your dog in a calm environment to discuss whats going on and see the behaviour in action (providing that it is safe to do so). This is where I can gather a bit more information about your dog and their history to try and piece together the origin of the problematic behaviour.

Once I have gathered all the information I need we will start work straight away. I like to arrange to meet up weekly to get the process kickstarted. We will be working through some training and behavioural modification techniques tailored to your dog and their behaviour. I will be giving some optional homework each week that I would like you to work on with your dog at home. You do not have to do this homework however without it you may not see a lot of improvement very quickly.

When booking a behaviour service, you must be willing to put in the effort and hard work to achieve the results you are wanting. You will be doing the majority of the work with your dog, I will just be here to teach you as the owner and guide you throughout the process.

I am happy to take your dog out for 'behaviour walks' and to continue their training and behavioural modification when you aren't available, to keep it consistent.

If required i can also do some 1:1 training with your dog without you present.​​
